Special Properties of Terracotta Bricks, Hollow Blocks And Other Products
1. Ecolight Hollow Blocks are made from selected clays by using vacuum technology therefore the texture is very dense. This process removes the air between two particles of the clay and makes the bond of the particles stronger.
2. Hollow Blocks and all Terracotta products like Ecolight Hexagonal tiles are fired in downdraft chamber kiln at high temperature (900 – 950 degrees) so these possesses very good strength and durability i.e. resistance to extreme temperature changes, frost and rain etc.
3. Water absorption is as low as 10 – 12 % (As per IS – 3952). Normal bricks have water absorption between 25 – 30 %.
